    • 1). Sweep your tile floor with a broom and dust pan or vacuum cleaner to remove as much dust and dirt as possible.

    • 2). Fill one bucket with 2 or 3 drops of liquid dish soap, 1 cup of vinegar and 1 gallon of hot water. Fill the second bucket with cool water for rinsing.

    • 3). Mop the floor using the mixture in the bucket and a sponge, rag or mop. Pay special attention to high-traffic areas.

    • 4). Rinse the floor with the clean, cool water. Dump out the water and get new if it starts to look dirty. Be sure to remove all the soap, as it will leave a residue on your tile.

    • 5). Dry the floor with a thick towel to remove any leftover dirt and prevent water spots.

    • 6). Soak the floor with undiluted white vinegar. Let the vinegar soak for five minutes.

    • 7). Scrub the grout with an old toothbrush.

    • 8). Rinse the floors well with cool water, and dry them with a thick towel.
