Thinking of Cheating?
The reasons people cheat on their spouse are as different and varied as the people themselves.
However all cheating situations have several things in common.
1.
The cheater (or those thinking of Cheating) feel a loss of love, passion or respect and may feel the sex is very routine and boring in their relationship.
2.
This person will start focusing more on how to have an affair than fixing the relationship they are currently in.
3.
The person starts to get a "high" from the very thought of being with someone new.
4.
In most cases the person cheating or contemplating it will know about the consequences but purposely not think about it in order to justify cheating.
Sometimes they will concentrate on all the negative things about their current partner in order to justify an affair.
Are you one of these people? If you are then consider the following advice to get you back on track 1.
If you're feeling a loss of love or any of the other reasons stated above, start to communicate these things to your spouse.
Chances are they feel the same way.
2.
You know that adrenaline rush you get when you are focusing on an affair? First make a concentrated effort to stop focusing on having an affair an start concentrating on creating a healthy relationship with your spouse.
(by the way...
this is true happiness and will serve you much longer than that adrenaline rush) 3.
Finally, make a conscious effort to think of all the things that could happen if you do have an affair.
Even if your never caught the guilt will plague you for the rest of your life.
What about the sheer cost of divorce, or the pain of breaking up a family.
Remind yourself of these things when you catch yourself daydreaming of an affair.
Remember, it's the rough times in a relationship or marriage that make it strong.
If you were never tested, you never know if the two of you were really meant to be together.
Yes sometimes two people just made a bad decision and got married too young or too quick.
Sometimes these people are so unalike that splitting up is the rational thing to do.
HOWEVER! Cheating is never the answer in any relationship.
If you feel you're truly in a bad relationship and you have tried everything possible, exhausted all resources and still you cannot work something out with your partner than...
BE HONEST.
Tell them you need to move on.
Cheating will only result in a messy divorce, hurt feelings, hurt children and in some situations will get you a frying pan up side of your head.
