A Tutorial for Flash Software
- 1). Create a new file in Flash by selecting the "File" then "New" menu items. From the resulting window, choose one of the options for "Flash File." Create a movie with the interface tools, menus and options. Use the following example to familiarize yourself with some of the tools by creating animated text.
- 2). Access the Properties panel Size attributes and change the size to 500 x 100 pixels. Type "30" in the Frame rate field. Click the background button and select black. Save the file as "anim_text.fla."
- 3). Select the "Text" tool from the Tools panel and type "New Ideas." Drag your text box so that it is just to the left and outside the stage. Change the color to white using the Properties panel.
- 4). Click in frame 60 and press "F6" to create a keyframe. Drag the text box to frame 60 to the right within the stage. Click in frame one and click the "Properties Tween" button. Set it to "Motion." Press "Ctrl" and "Enter" to test the movie. The text should appear from off screen left and settle at the right of the screen.
