How to Try Out for The Ultimate Fighter
- 1). Fight and hold a winning record in a minimum of three professional MMA fights, and ensure the fight results have been recorded on sherdog.com or mixedmartialarts.com. The UFC must be able to verify the three professional fights took place on either website to give the fighter consideration and a tryout for TUF. (See reference 3.)
- 2). Find the location, date and time for TUF tryouts. The UFC advertises the information regarding TUF tryouts on ultimatefighter.com, ufc.com and during the broadcasts of the current season of TUF, which airs on Spike TV. (See resources.)
- 3). Complete the TUF application and take it with you to a TUF tryout. If you cannot attend the tryout, follow the instructions on the application for trying out for TUF. (See reference 2 & 3.) You are required to hit and grapple at a TUF tryout, so bring a mouth guard, athletic support cup, hand wraps and gloves. (See reference 3.)
