Jeffrey Zarrillo and Paul Katami from Burbank and Berkley couple Kristin Perry and Sandy Stier seek to overturn California's Prop 8 ban on same-sex marriage in Perry v. Schwarzenengger. Jeffrey Zarrillo and Paul Katami have been together for eight years and have been attempting to marry for two years. Kristin Perry and Sandy Stier have been together for nine years and are the parents of four children.

The plaintiffs are represented by attorney team Ted Olson and David Boies.
