How to Fertilize Cyclamen
- 1). Choose a cyclamen plant that has very few open blooms. Pick one with lots of healthy buds forming. You'll want to settle the cyclamen into its new home and establish your watering routine for about a month before you begin to fertilize this plant.
- 2). Feed the cyclamen a good water-soluble fertilizer for indoor blooming plants while the plant is actively blooming. Mix it at half strength. Follow the packaging instructions carefully.
- 3). Fertilize with fish emulsion two weeks later. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations carefully.
- 4). Alternate the fertilizer and fish emulsion so you are feeding the cyclamen every two weeks while it is actively growing. Stop fertilizing altogether when the plant begins to go dormant as blooming finishes and the leaves begin to brown.
