How You Can Afford to Eat Non-Chemical Residue Foods

America's new trend is to eat 'Organic'.
But how can consumers really tell if what they are buying at the new organic section is local grown produce? For one, I want my tomatoes to taste like tomatoes with no poisons sprayed on it or grown with chemicals that could produce cancer.
If fruits and vegetables are put in a refrigerated truck and driven thousands of miles across, or better yet, shipped from another country, they just don't have the Qi (chi) that I want to put into my body.
I suggest making a habit of going to the Farmers Markets.
The advantages are not only are you helping a local farmer and your local economy, your fruits and veggies will taste fresher and it will save you shipping costs.
But as many of us know, organic food is a bit pricey.
So if you have the dedication and time, grow it yourself.
You'll know exactly what's in your food because it came from your own backyard.
For some, going to the Farmers Market or cultivating their own garden is just not an option.
The best way to get at least some of the poisons out is a food cleansing bath.
It can cut down on the chemical residue from non-organic foods.
There are many new fruit and vegetable cleansers on the market that can be found in health food stores.
Like Grapefruit seed extract that kills bacteria.
Another one is Clorox Bleach.
Believe it or not, it is a definite option for produce as well as poultry, fish, and meat.
Clorox baths can get rid of pesticides, parasites, bacteria and other contaminants that can be removed from food with a simple soak.
The active ingredient in Clorox, sodium hypochlorite, breaks down into salt and water.
The Clorox bath has been around for decades.
Military families stationed overseas in southwest Asia, China and Turkey has used it through the recommendation of our state department.
People have reported that foods last up to two weeks longer in the refrigerator, there were no metallic aftertaste with store bought fruits and veggies, meats are tenderized and the natural flavors are enhanced.
Here is how to do the Clorox bath: - Use only the highest quality Clorox.
- 1 teaspoon of Clorox to 1 gallon of purified water.
- Place the foods to be treated into the bath for the designated length of time:
  • Leafy vegetables - 15 minutes
  • Root, thick-skinned, or fibrous vegetables - 30 minutes
  • Thin-skinned fruits, veggies, plums, etc.
    - 30 minutes
  • Thick-skinned fruit, such as citrus - 30 minutes
  • Poultry, fish, meat - 20 minutes
- Remove the food from the Clorox bath - Place them in clean water for ten minutes and rinse.
- Dry all foods thoroughly - Store The Clorox Bath is one of the most inexpensive ways to cleanse all the poison that was sprayed on your food.
I believe for the most part, many of us want to eat locally grown organics, but if it's just not feasible, cut down on the chemical residue from your non-organic food.
