This wintery Disney Channel Original Movie tells a heart-warming story about a "spoiled little rich girl" who shreds the stereotype and proves what she is really made of.

In Cloud 9, Kayla Morgan is a local champion at snowboarding. Daughter of the owner of a ski resort, she has the dream life, including a keen eye for fashion (and the money to act on it) and a super cute boyfriend.
She's on cloud 9, until a little mischief results in some undesirable consequences. Kayla feels like she has lost everything. But, with hard work and a little help from an unlikely new friend, cloud 9 might just be within her grasp once again.
Dove Cameron in Cloud 9
In the Disney Channel's Cloud 9,Kayla (Dove Cameron, center) has a serious passion for fashion, but snowboarding is her thing. She's the reigning local champion, and she loves to bask in her success and all the fun she's having. So when she finds out that her competitions may have been a little rigged, and she really may not be as good as she thinks she is, she is absolutely crushed.
The thing is, she's crushed for real.
Not because her limelight has faded, but because deep down she is a genuine person, and she only wants genuine success. Sure that she has what it takes to prove everyone who thinks she's just a no-talent little rich girl wrong, Kayla determinedly goes after assistance from ex-boarder Will Cloud. And who knows, she just might have a thing or two to teach him as well.
While Kayla does sling a few insults at her foes (mostly to do with their fashion faux pas), she has a kind heart and strong character. She can be whiny and pouty, but she will step up to challenges and she tries to do the right thing.
Luke Benward in Cloud 9
Luke Benward (Good Luck Charlie) plays Will Cloud in the Disney Channel Movie Cloud 9. Will is a good-natured guy who works for his mom at her dog grooming shop. The problem is, even at his young age, Will is a has-been.
Once a champion snow boarder, Will gave up the sport after what internet trolls characterize as his "epic fail." Will no longer has a passion, but he's has still got a deep love and respect for others, and for their dogs.
He doesn't hold back the truth, though, even if it might be hard to hear.
Mike C. Manning plays Nick Swift in the Disney Channel Movie Cloud 9. Nick is Kayla's boyfriend. She adores him, but he's not exactly devoted. She finds out what he's really about when he disappoints her when she's down, despite the fact that she stood by him. To be fair, though, Nick doesn't have the greatest role model in his father, who seems to care little about anything except winning. Nick is a bit of a player and lacks integrity.
How far will he go to win?
Kiersey Clemons plays the shredding Skye Sailor in Cloud 9. Skye is a champion snowboarder with a lot of confidence. Maybe a little too much. She can also be hurtful when sparring with her competitors. She's good and she knows it, and she will rub it in. But she'll still give credit where credit is due.
