    • 1). Select the "line/curve" tool found on the floating toolbar to the left of your work area. You will already have a blank document open. These are basic tools for almost any simple drawing or paint software. The tools may also be found on the "tools" menu.

    • 2). Draw two vertical lines beginning just below the horizontal center of your work area. Hold your mouse down and drag to extend the lines to the bottom edge of your drawing surface. The distance between the two lines will depend upon how big you want the trunk of your tree to be.

    • 3). Select the "ellipse" tool. This will allow you to draw the top portion of your tree. Begin at the top of the tree trunk you drew, hold the left mouse button down, and draw the top portion of your tree by extending the line toward the edge of your work surface and curving it toward the top, gradually ending it on the opposite side you start on. The size of this will depend upon how big you want this section of your tree to be.

    • 4). Set your color selection to green, then click the "gradient" tool. Click on the "bucket fill" tool and select the color green, then left click in the top area of your tree (the leaves) to fill it with the green color selection. Repeat this step using brown and applying the brown to the trunk of your tree.
