The four-stroke V-twin engine is air-cooled and has four valves per cylinder in an overhead valve/pushrod configuration. A compression ratio of 8.91-to-1 and a bore and stroke of 3.75 by 4.0 inches gives a maximum torque of 85 foot-pounds at 3,000 rpm. The engine is fueled by a single 40 mm carburetor.

    Transmission and Frame

    • The engine drives a five-speed transmission and a belt final drive. The front fork has 32 degrees of rake and 5.1 inches of trail, and is fitted with an 11.5-inch disc brake and a Dunlop MH90-21 54H tire. The rear of the frame is fitted with two shock absorbers and steel twin-sided swing arm, an 11.5-inch disc brake and a Dunlop 150/80 R16 71H tire.
