How to Restore XP on an Aspire One
- 1). Turn off the Aspire One.
- 2). Turn the computer on and repeatedly press the "F2" button on the keyboard until you see the computer's BIOS, a list of settings and configurations.
- 3). Use the right arrow key on your keyboard to scroll to the "Advanced" tab.
- 4). Ensure that the "Hard Disk Recovery" option is enabled. If it is not, press the "Enter" key on your keyboard until you reach the "default" option.
- 5). Exit the BIOS by pressing the "Esc" key on your keyboard. When prompted, choose the "Save settings and restart" option.
- 6). Hold down the "Alt" and "F10" keys on your keyboard simultaneously to boot into the Acer recovery partition.
- 7). Enter "000000" (without quotes) when prompted to do so. This is a security protocol to ensure that you are aware that running the recovery partition will erase all data from your computer.
- 8). Highlight the operating system you want to restore when prompted to do so and press "Enter" on your keyboard to begin the recovery process.
