Environmental Disasters Are Increasing But Governments Hands Are Tied

In the wake of the carbon tax imposed by the Australian government it is being used as a weapon against it in the up-coming Federal election.
The disasters that are occurring around the world as floods, winds, rising sea levels and global warming take their toll are something that will worsen.
It appears that complacency to do something to stop it is motivated by a general lack of concern and confusion governed by ignorance, lies and false reports.
While some have the right intentions big business and multi-billionaire miners are pumping out hype for their own wealth increase and continuance.
They are supported by some scientists who may also be protecting their jobs.
Australia is a large coal producer and, therefore, a contributor to the problem.
It also mines natural gas and uranium.
While nuclear energy is considered a safe alternative to coal and gas by some countries they may also have their problems regarding environmental contamination.
The earthquake, tsunami and melt-down of the Fukishema Nuclear Plant is an example of what can happen.
Some might also remember the Chernoble explosions and meltdown in Central Europe.
Nothing we do now can possibly stop the pollution and use of these products as governments struggle to provide energy sources for manufacturing, businesses and homes.
We seem to be locked into a race to the finish line where the end result is death to everything.
Pollution of the environment is a major cause of diseases as well as global warming, loss of species and ultimately loss of all life on earth.
So what is wrong with a little carbon tax in the face of all that?
