Keeping Things in Check

If you don't like the way things are going in our country right now, you're the only one who can change it, and you can do it by first letting your congressman know what it is that you don't like; send him/her a letter, and outline for him/her what it is that you think needs to be changed and why it needs to be changed.
If you want the right to put in your two cents, be sure that vote for your leaders, because if you don't then your part of the problem, be sure to follow the election and listen to their campaign platform, hold them to their platform promises, make sure that they do what they say that they will do, the key thing here is to get off your but, and get involved in what's going on here.
If you don't keep in touch with your elected officials, how will they know if they need to make changes to the current way that they are doing thing's, this country is of the people, by the people and for the people, not the other way around, if you just let the elected officials run-a-muck then you get what you deserve in the end, and you have no right to bitch about it.
So what I'm saying here is, get involved, be a part of the solution and not a part of the problem, if you don't help your elected officials by telling them what needs to happen, and in essence just handing them all the power, then once again, you'll get what you deserve, the time to take action is now, not when it already to late, not when you look back and say things could have been better "If Only".
If you get the gist of what I'm saying here, you're the one who needs to make the country what you think it should be, not your elected officials, if you just hand the rains over to them it will be all over for ever having a normal USA again
