How to Disable a Seatbelt Alarm
- 1). Ensure the lights and engine of your car are switched off, the doors closed, handbrake on and that your seat belt is unbuckled before you begin.
- 2). Insert your key into the ignition and turn the key to "On," but do not start the engine.
- 3). Wait for the safety-belt alarm to sound, then buckle and unbuckle the seat belt three times, ending with the belt unbuckled.
- 4). Turn the headlights on and off.
- 5). Buckle and unbuckle your seat belt another three times. The safety-belt warning sign will be turned on for three seconds.
- 6). Wait for the warning light to go off. Buckle and unbuckle your seat belt once, within seven seconds of the warning light going off, to disable the seat-belt alarm.
