    • 1). Lay out your vinyl on a flat surface and lay your foam in the center so there is 6 inches on each side of the foam. Then place the 30- by 72-inch piece of plywood on top of the foam.

    • 2). Starting with one of the 72-inch sides, fold the vinyl onto the plywood and staple it down every four inches. On the opposite side, staple every four inches, but put a little bit of tension on the vinyl so it squeezes a little bit of the foam corners. Repeat this process on the ends to finish the massage table top.

    • 3). A massage table should be the height of the wrist with the massager standing up straight, and arms relaxed. This length minus two inches should be the length of the four oak boards.

    • 4). On the back of your massage table, starting on the upper left hand corner with the long side vertical, measure 3/4 inches from the left side and top side. Draw a line over these measurements so it forms a corner 3/4 inches from the edge.

    • 5). Predrill two holes spaced 4 inches apart on your 2- by 2- by 8-inch oak board. Using your 2 3/4-inch screws, screw them so they form a corner that measures 10 inches on the 72-inch side, and 8 inches on the 30-inch side and 3/4 inch from the edge. Repeat this process so that the opposite sides mirror the first set of oak boards on all four corners.

    • 6). Cut the four 15- by 15-inch sheets of plywood diagonally so there are eight triangles.

    • 7). Screw a plywood triangle to the oak 2-by-2 that is on the upper left 30-inch side of the table. Its 15-inch edge should be flush and perpendicular with the 72-inch side of the table. Use three 1 3/4-inch screws spaced evenly apart for each plywood triangle.

    • 8). On the same 30-inch side, screw another piece of plywood so it mirrors the first. Repeat these two processes on the opposite side. With the remaining four triangles, screw one to each of the remaining oak boards, forming four 15-inch corners for the legs.

    • 9). Place each oak 2- by 2- by 30-inch board into the corners formed by the plywood and screw three screws evenly spaced through each sheet of plywood into the oak boards.
