If you want to take your health and fitness to the next level, you need to start thinking beyond regular pushups, pullups, and bodyweight squats.
You need to think about how you can make your exercises more difficult.
Well, the usual way is to just do pushups, pullups, and squat variations.
But after a while these variations will get too boring.
I want you to think about dancer, gymnasts, and yogis.
Why do these athletes have such strong and lean bodies? Dancers train at a high intensity level and need to move their bodies in a variety of directions.
Gymnasts also train at a high intensity level.
However, there sport is more about body control.
Another practice that is about body control, but is performed at a much lower intensity level is yoga.
But the common thread combiningal these three athletes is the fact that they use their bodyweight to develop strong and lean athletic physiques.
I thought that pushups, pullups, and bodyweight squats were enough.
But then, I started experimenting with my bodyweight exercises.
For example, try doing a regular squat thrust, and then jumping forward into a roll.
This is basic gymnastics, but can prove to be a great fat burning exercise.
If you're looking to improve your health and fitness using gymnastics and yoga moves, then I suggest you start off small.
Start off with the exercise I just described, and then expand on it further.
What if you add in a jump at the end? Or, when you do apullup, you can switch hand positions, and move on to the other side of the bar.
It's the little things that will add some great variety and improvement into your training.
