West Plays Roguishly With Muslims

For a ten year old boy they were amusing anti-heroes.
The clothes that they wore looked like costumes and their features were weird.
They were known as the Red Indians, and we boys got to know about them through good old Western films.
They featured in many of our childhood games, and though boys loved to imitate their clamorous war cries, most of us preferred to be the brave distinct cowboy, who cleared the land and defeated the Red Indians.
As a boy I could not relate to the Red Indians.
They seemed ancient and soon became an abandoned memory as I grew up.
It took me sometime to realise that the Red Indians, as I knew them, were more than a group of people belonging to a particular time and place; they were a symbolic reference to the people existing on the wrong side of time.
And then I found them again.
This time in real life, everywhere, all around, even when I looked at myself I saw one, one of the Red Indians of the 21st century.
You may disagree with that, but before you do, take a look at the similarities.
The West wanted the Red Indians' land, so they were targeted.
The West wants Muslims' resources, so they are targeting Muslims.
For example, most of us did not have the time and brains to wonder why the civilised, democratic Western forces bombarded Iraq.
And most of us do not know anything about the Bechtel Group of San Francisco, California, with nearly three billion dollar contracts in Iraq which included the rehabilitation of Iraq's water and sewer systems.
After the American attack on Iraq, people experienced massive outbreaks of different diseases because of drinking contaminated water.
Neither do we know much about Halliburton having 18 billion dollar reconstruction contracts in Iraq, nor about Chevron Texaco with a contract to market Iraqi oil.
Brave white Christian men and women managed to build a prosperous new world on the sufferings of Red Indian men, women and children.
They are doing it again.
And they are able to do it successfully.
Most Muslim countries are being ruled by people not representative of the masses.
It is because of the fact that not a single Muslim country has a true democratic system.
It is proclaimed that true democracy is the foundational step towards development and success, but we still do not want to take that step.
It might be either we do not want to develop or we are still lacking true leaders who would come up and lead us without any personal interests.
While watching Western flicks, you may have noticed how the brave cowboys are shown shooting at the Red Indians as if it is pure fun.
"It is fun to shoot some people," Lt-Gen James Mattis, a senior US Marine Corps general who led troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, made this comment at a conference on February 1, 2005, in San Diego.
General Michael Hagee, commander of the US Marine Corps, praised General Mattis as "one of the country's bravest and most experienced military leaders.
" We need to see that America sounds like a champion of human rights, but they are being led by leaders like Lt-Gen James Mattis for whom killing humans is not a big deal.
According to the current reparations policy, the payment offered in cases in which US forces own up to killing Iraqi civilians, is reportedly worth up to $ 2,500 in condolence payments for a dead Iraqi civilian, while the insurance payout to beneficiaries of an American soldier who dies is $ 400,000.
One Red Indian life cannot equal one white Christian life.
The first Gulf war was perhaps the first major war telecast live on TV.
During both Gulf wars, audiences across the world watched the skies illuminated with streaks of lightning caused by heavy bombing by US forces.
It seemed like a video game being played on the TV screen.
Thousands of Iraqi men, women and children were killed or crippled by the bombing, which on TV screens and colour photographs in newspapers looked more interesting than horrifying.
Each day tidy looking Pentagon officials gave an account of the sorties in a neat and proper environment.
Now compare this with the protesting Muslims.
The Western media would particularly show images of masked men and veiled women carrying guns.
They would look so raw and barbaric despite the fact that their protests and guns are no match for the ultra hi-tech and immensely devastating arsenal of Western powers.
At this stage our media should raise its voice and let people know the actual and hidden facts but alas! Our media is always gagged when it comes to revealing the unrevealed truths.
Jack Straw, former British Foreign Secretary, feels uncomfortable with hijab and Tony Blair says Straw is perfectly sensible in addressing the topic.
Has anyone ever heard of any of these men feeling uncomfortable with scantily clad women? Of course not! It is a woman's personal and private affair how to dress up, except when she is a Muslim.
In 2002 around 2,000 Muslims were butchered in a well organised massacre sponsored by the BJP government in Gujarat, supported by BJP's central government in New Delhi.
Despite proof of the BJP government's involvement in the large-scale slaughter of innocent unarmed Muslim men, women and children, India was never accused of supporting terrorism, nor was the BJP labelled a terrorist organisation.
India remained a close ally of the US, closer than the submissive enlightened government of Pakistan.
Christoffer Zieler's cartoons on Jesus were turned down by Jens Kaiser, the former editor of Jyllands-Posten as too offensive, but the same newspaper proudly published cartoons on the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) in September 2005, followed gleefully by newspapers in Norway, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Italy and Spain.
According to a report, some US lawmakers have demanded access to Dr A.
Q.
Khan on the pretext that his answers are required to unearth Western entities involved in his network, many of whom are still to be arrested.
Why do not they seek inspection of Israeli and Indian facilities using technology stolen from the West to make weapons, yet economic and military assistance continues? Dr A.
Q.
Khan has not caused the death of a single person, American or otherwise, whereas President Bush has taken a million.
He attacked Iraq after speaking lies; if he had not done so, nearly a million Iraqis would not have died.
Bush is responsible for more deaths than anyone else so he should be handed over to Muslims for trial regarding deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan.
After that, we will consider letting the Americans interview Dr Khan.
The double standards of the West have dawned upon everyone and the hypocritical attitude towards Muslims has been exposed.
It is time for our leaders to join hands, build up their courage to take action against it.
Unlike the Red Indians, we need to take a stand and defeat white men on their own created chessboard because we do not want to be part of a deserted history.
