How to Install Quicktime for iTunes 4.2
- 1). Open a Web browser on the computer that has iTunes 4.2 installed. Download the QuickTime installer from the official Apple website. Save it to a directory on your computer.
- 2). Click the Windows "Start" button and click "Computer." Double click each directory and navigate to the location where you saved the downloaded QuickTime installer ZIP file.
- 3). Double-click the ZIP file. In the popup option window, click "Run" to start the installation wizard. The first screen is a welcome window. Click "Next" to skip to the next window.
- 4). Leave the default directory in the "Choose Destination Location" window. You can customize where you want to install QuickTime, but the default location places the files in the "Program Files" directory for Windows. Click "Next."
- 5). Click "Minimum" in the list of installation options and click "Next." Leave the default program files text, which is the text shown in the Windows "Start" menu when you want to open QuickTime. Click "Next."
- 6). Continue clicking "Next" until you reach the final window with the "Install" button. Click "Install" to install the files to your computer. After the installation completes, reboot your computer.
