    Set Up a Wireless Network

    • 1). Click the "Start" button, open the "Control Panel" and then open the "Network and Internet Connections" section.

    • 2). Right click on your current wireless adapter and select the "Properties" button.

    • 3). Click on the "Wireless Networks" tab, click the "Add" button and then fill in the details for the name of the network and what type of security encryption you want (if any). Be sure to check the box at the bottom of the screen labeled "This is a computer-to-computer (ad hoc) network."

    • 4). Click the "OK" button two times. Your wireless network will now be set up. Anyone who wants to connect to your network simply needs a computer that has a wireless card on it. If they are within range of your computer, they will see your ad hoc network on their network list and will be able to connect to it.

    Share Your Internet

    • 1). Click the "Start" button, open the "Control Panel," open the "Network and Internet Connections" section and then right click on the wired connection that is currently connected to the Internet.

    • 2). Select the "Properties" option, click the "Advanced" tab and check the box marked "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection."

    • 3). Click the "OK" button, then click the "Yes" button. If users connect to your ad hoc wireless network you set up previously, they will also be able to use the Internet thanks to your shared connection.
