How To Read a Pregnancy Test

103 2
Many people think that it is an easy task reading a pregnancy test, and in most cases this is true.
However, as some of you may have experienced in the past, it can be quite stressful waiting for those few minutes to pass before receiving the results.
If a woman has been planning a pregnancy, then it can result in them being impatient in waiting for the result, therefore they may be able to see lines on the test that do not necessarily mean that they are pregnant.
The same applies to those women who have not planned a pregnancy, dismissing faded or faint lines as a sign that they are not in fact pregnant.
Therefore, before taking a home pregnancy test, it is imperative that you read the full instructions first, ensuring that you are aware of exactly what procedure to follow.
Ensure that you have urinated on the stick, or held the stick in your urine for the required amount of time that is specified on the instructions, which is usually only a few seconds.
The test may give you a false reading if you have not urinated on the stick correctly.
It is important that you remember that the window of the pregnancy test is not a guideline, it is something which you must follow.
This is because, if you read the results in the window too early, then it may show a faded or faint line which you may personally consider to be a dark enough reading to prove that you are pregnant.
Reading the result in the window after the designated time period has elapsed may show you a blank result, whereby minutes before there may have been a thick dark blue or pink line indicating that you are in actual fact pregnant.
There are also some tests which have an evaporation line that can appear after the designated time zone which may make it appear as though you are pregnant when you are not.
The reason for this entry is to ensure that you are aware of how to read the results of a pregnancy test, based on the information that is on the box, and also that you are aware that the instructions are not a guideline.
It is essential to follow these instructions to receive the correct reading.
