How to Create Silhouettes in Photofiltre
- 1). Open Photofiltre, then click "File," then "Open" and select the photo you want to turn into a silhouette.
- 2). Click the "Zoom In" toolbar button to magnify the image if it is small, as you will need a large view to achieve precision.
- 3). Click the "Selection" tool in the sidebar, and click the "Polygon" icon in the sub-menu that appears.
- 4). Click anywhere on the edge of the figure in your photo, and move the mouse to begin tracing the outline. Each time you click, you form a new line; many clicks as you trace create the effect of a curve, while a bigger distance between clicks makes a straight line.
- 5). Continue tracing the figure until you have formed a complete outline of the figure.
- 6). Click "Filter" in the toolbar, select "Color" from the drop-down menu, then click "Colored Layer" in the sub-menu.
- 7). Select black from the drop-down menu, and click and drag the arrow to set the opacity at 100%, then click "OK."
- 8). Right-click the silhouette, and select "Invert Selection" from the drop-down menu, if you want to color the space around the silhouette. Then select "Filter" again, then a background color, and set opacity at 100 percent before clicking "OK" to finish.
