Problems With Your Girlfriend - Was It Just A Fight Or Is It Really Over?
Did you have a fight with your girlfriend and now you don't quite know where you stand with her? That can be a terrible feeling, when all of the tension dies down a little and you are left wondering where you really stand with your girlfriend. Thinking that the relationship really might be over certainly is not a pleasant thought, and if you are wondering if this is the case, then I feel for you. Why do relationships have to be so hard, right? If only there was a way that you could smooth things over and just get things back to the way that they were before the arguing.
Fights are going to happen from time to time in relationships. That's just a realistic way of looking at it. Yes, it would be nice if that was not the case, but any time that two people try and gel together, there are going to be moments where it's not all smooth sailing. What's really important is if you are able to get past these hiccups in the relationship. If you are unable to do this, then you are going to have to face the reality that it very well may be over.
So, is it over?
Really, the only way to tell is to get back into communication with your girlfriend. I mean, you can sit there and ponder all of the possibilities, but at some point, you have to just go and find out straight from her. What you do not want to do is to talk to her about it in a way that will push her over the side of the fence where she is ready to just give up on the relationship altogether.
If you had a big fight with your girlfriend and you are afraid that it might be over, then the last thing that you want to do is to push her to the edge where that does become your reality. So, try to avoid any more arguing with her, try to keep things light and don't be afraid to pull out some strategic flirting so that you can get her back in a good mood and keep her seeing you in a good light.
Almost any relationship can be saved.
Even if it seems like she may want to have some space or she may want to end things, that does not mean that you cannot still find a way to smooth things over. You just might have to take a little time away from her, and come back when things are more in your favor, so that way you can get a chance to repair and rebuild the relationship.
Do not try and assign blame for the fight.
There really is no need to do this, and if you do, there is a good chance that you'll just bring things back to where they were when you did get into a fight with her. Trying to assign blame, even if it is to yourself is not always the best idea. If it is a situation where you clearly were in the wrong, then it's okay to apologize and own up to it, just don't drag it out too much.
