• 1). Close any running programs and applications on your computer. As of 2010, you will need Norton 360 4.0 or Norton Internet Security 2010 versions or later, which you can buy online. This makes the adware removal process faster than the process of purchasing a disc. Norton 360 4.0 costs slightly more but has more functions while Norton Internet Security will handle the job. Older versions of Norton may not have the adware removal function.

Choose your installation preferences from the options when prompted then allow your computer to restart after the installation completes.
