A few years back Perth was nicknamed Dullsville by a few of the more prominent people.
The fact is though, there is plenty to keep yourself occupied in Perth, but not everyone knows this.
Of course, being one of the smaller capital cities you can't expect it to be like Las Vegas, but there is more than enough to have a good time.
There are plenty of good restaurants, a number of places that you can go for day trips and even some very nice scenery to see.
One thing that most WA locals are very proud of are the beaches.
Every single beach in WA is worth a visit, and that says something.
From Trigg Beach right down to White Hills in Mandurah, the beaches are pristine white, clean and the water is great to swim in! If you are looking for a few activities to do during the day, a lot of people will head to Adventure World in Bibra Lake.
This is a small theme park aimed at kid's right through to grown adults.
It has a number of water slides and other rides for people to enjoy.
Compared to other theme parks across Australia, it is quite cheap.
However, be aware that if you have been to any of the bigger theme parks in the Eastern States it probably won't be very exciting at all! Araluen is another great place to visit, which is a 45 minute drive into the hills.
During the right seasons, the Tulips flower and look absolutely stunning.
These gardens are very carefully manicured, and are well worth a look.
On top of this, the areas in the hills of Perth are well worth a drive around as they give a good reflection of what a part of Perth is like!
