In the past, although the ban has been lifted, it was once banned for use during the Olympics.
This was because the increased amount of this substance in the body improves the athlete's performance especially in cardiovascular endurance sports.

People who take it regularly and people who weigh more are likely to have a greater tolerance towards it.
If you take caffeine on a daily basis you would be more tolerant to its effects compared to those who take them once a week.
Warning There is another downside to the intake of caffeine.
There are some experts who point to it as one of the causes of sleep problems.
This is because the central nervous system becomes stimulated with excessive amounts of this substance.
Along with lack of sleep comes other host of problems.
Depression, mood swings and anxiety is sometimes caused by too much caffeine intake.
One more thing, it is also addictive, so the more you consume it the more dependent you become to it.
