How to Move CMD.exe
- 1). Click the "Start" button on the taskbar.
- 2). Select "Computer."
- 3). Double-click the "C:" drive. Go to the "Windows" directory. Double-click the "System32" folder.
- 4). Scroll through the files and folders until you find the cmd.exe file and single-click it to highlight it.
- 5). Press the "Alt" key on your keyboard. The file menu will open near the top of the window.
- 6). Click "Edit" and select the "Move to folder..." option. The "Move Items" window opens.
- 7). Select the new folder location to move the cmd.exe file and click the "Move" button.
- 1). Click the "Start" button on the taskbar.
- 2). Type "cmd.exe" into the "Start Search" text box. Right-click the "cmd" icon and select "Run as Administrator" from the menu.
- 3). Type "move c:\windows\system32 cmd.exe location" and press the "Enter" key. Location is the place on the hard drive where you want to move the cmd.exe file. For example, if you want to move the file to your d: drive, type "move c:\windows\system32 cmd.exe d:\"
