Los Angeles Parking Regulation Commercial Truck
Parking Restrictions
Los Angeles municipal code prohibits commercial vehicle parking on residential streets. Commercial vehicles may park only to load or unload materials or while providing services in a neighborhood. Commercial vehicles include unattached semi-trailers, limousines and any vehicle longer than 22 feet with a commercial license plate or shorter than 22 feet with exterior advertising, according to a report by Gabe Cabrera, legislative analyst for the City of San Francisco.
Trailers
Trailers and semi-trailers may not be parked on any street, alley, highway or other place for private vehicle parking. Unattached semi-trailers may not be parked on any street unless they are for private or recreational use, according to Los Angeles Municipal Code. Commercial vehicles may not be parked under an overpass within 150 feet of homes.
Exceptions
Personal parking meters approved by the Los Angeles Department of Transportation may be used If a commercial vehicle needs to park in a no parking or time limited space for more than 30 minutes.
