How do I Clean Hair Color From Carpet?
- 1). Add 1 tbsp. of dish soap and 1 tbsp. of white vinegar to 2 cups of warm water. Stir the solution to create suds.
- 2). Dip a clean white washcloth into the soapy water.
- 3). Blot the hair color stain on the carpet with the wet washcloth until the stain is removed. The dye should transfer to the white washcloth during this process.
- 4). Rinse the washcloth under running water to remove all of the soap.
- 5). Blot the carpet with the wet washcloth to remove the soap and vinegar from the carpet fibers. If the stain persists, continue on to the next step.
- 6). Apply rubbing alcohol to a clean, dry washcloth.
- 7). Blot the hair color stain with the washcloth in the same manner you did in Step 3. Continue to blot until the hair color is transferred to the washcloth and the stain is removed.
- 8). Rinse the washcloth thoroughly and blot the carpet to remove the rubbing alcohol from the carpet fibers.
