How to Install Satellite Radio in a 2008 FJ Cruiser
- 1). Open your driver's side door and look for an appropriate spot to place your satellite radio console. The Sirius satellite radio installation guide defines an appropriate spot as one that is easily accessible to both the passenger and the driver and does not block the drivers line of vision. There are adhesive strips on the bottom of the satellite radio console that you use to keep the unit in place.
- 2). Find your tall ladder and place it near either back side door. Climb up the ladder to gain access to the roof of your FJ Cruiser and search for a place on which to attach the satellite radio antenna. You can place it anywhere on the roof that has a line of sight to the sky and is stable and flat. There will be a built in sticky pad on the bottom of the antenna that you will use to attach the antenna to the roof.
- 3). Take your satellite radio connector cord and attach it to the the slot on the back of the antenna. Pull the cord down into the vehicle using either of the two back doors. Slip the cord through the molding of the vehicle and pull along the roof while using the automotive tape to hold it down. Plug the satellite radio connector cord into the back of the satellite radio console.
