How to Convert to Xvid

    Any Video Converter

    • 1). Download the latest version of Any Video Converter by navigating to AVC's download page (see Resources) and clicking the "Download" button on the right side of the screen. After your download has finished, double-click the installation file to run through the setup process. Agree to the terms of use and open the program.

    • 2). Click the "Add Video" icon in the top left of the screen to enter a pop-up search window. Navigate through your computer's hard drive via Windows Explorer for your input video and click "Open."

    • 3). Click the "Profile" drop-down box in the top-right corner of the screen and select the "Xvid" output option. Press the "Encode" button at the top of the screen to begin converting your movie to Xvid format.

    Aone Ultra Video Converter

    • 1). Navigate to Aone Ultra Video Converter's download page (see Resources) and click the "Free Trial" button on the right side of the screen. If you wish to purchase the software, click the "Buy Now!" button. When your download is complete, double-click the ".exe" application file to run through the installation process. Accept the licensing terms and launch the program.

    • 2). Click the "Add Files" button, located in the upper left corner of the screen. Enter the Windows Explorer pop-up window and browse your hard drive for your input video. Highlight your video and click "Open."

    • 3). Click the "Output Format" drop-down box and select the "Xvid" codec option. (It may also be represented as "AVI/Xvid.")

    • 4). Select a folder to save your output Xvid video to by clicking the "Change" button to the right of the "Output Folder" field and click "OK." Press the "Convert" button at the top of the screen to begin converting your movie to Xvid format.

    Clone2Go (DVD Conversions Only)

    • 1). Navigate to the download page for Clone2Go DVD Ripper (see Resources). Click the "Download" icon on the right side of the screen for a free trial version, or click the "Buy Now" button to purchase the full version software. Double-click the installation file when the download is complete to run the setup process. Accept the terms of use and launch Clone2Go DVD Ripper.

    • 2). Insert your DVD into your disc drive. Click the "Open DVD" button in the top left corner of the screen to load your DVD's contents in the main converter window. Select the longest title listed (this is the feature film).

    • 3). Click the "Profile" icon and hold your cursor over the "AVI Video" submenu. Select the "Xvid" output option from the list of selections.

    • 4). Press the "Start Encode" button in the lower right portion of the screen to begin ripping your DVD to Xvid format.
