What they may not know is that the attack could be triggered by their home environment.

A person who is already prone to having migraine that is subjected to an environmental trigger will definitely experience an attack or at least a few prodormal symptoms will ensue.
If you regularly suffer from migraines, how can you makes sure that your home will not give you headaches? You should take away all known offenders.
Below are some of the things that you should look out for: Mold, mildew, dust and dust mites and other common household allergens.
One of the things that you can do is change your air filter or use cotton sheets to avoid attacks.
Carbon monoxide.
This is a toxic gas that is both odorless and colorless and that is why it is hard to detect.
It may come from furnaces, gas appliances, poorly ventilated fireplaces and cars running in the garage.
You can install carbon monoxide detectors to check whether there is a presence of the poisonous gas in your home.
Cigarette smoke.
If anyone in your household smokes, ask them to smoke outside the house, often just the smell of cigarette smoke can cause a pulsing headache to start quite quickly.
It could be a great time to persuade your partner to give up smoking too.

You can purchase a small water filter for your faucet to eliminate potential chemical traces in your drinking and bathing water.
You can also get a household filtration system or water softener if you are really sensitive.
Pet dander.
If you cannot give up your pet then you must seek an allergy treatment if you think you may be allergic to it.
Plus certainly ensure that your pet does not sleep in the same room as you do.
Pesticides.
Having insects and rodents in the house is definitely undesirable but the methods of eliminating these pests are just as or even more troublesome for your household.
Instead of using harmful chemical-based pesticides, switch to safe organic pest control products.
Cleaning products.
Some of the common cleaning products contain chemicals that can trigger migraines.
Consider switching to all-natural cleaning solutions.
I am certain that when you start to look at the actual contents in the chemicals that you use you will find that they may have substances that you can do without.
