Hen's night parties, also known as bachelorette parties, are traditional celebrations of the last days of life as a single woman for a bride soon to be married. There are many traditions relating to hen's night parties, and games are popular activity. Games range from quizzes and competition games to advice games and can involve the bride-to-be's female friends and families. - Play the peg game by giving each woman at the hen's night party two pegs that she must place in an obvious location on her clothing. Then, the group must decide on two words that are "banned" for the evening, which no one at the hen's night party can say. Henpartygames.com suggests using the words "wedding" or "dress." As the night goes on, any time a woman says one of the banned words, the person who hears it first must steal one of her pegs. At the end of the party, the woman with the most pegs wins.
- Ask the bride 20 personal questions about herself before the hen's night party. Then, write down those questions on handout sheets for everyone at the party. Have the women answer the questions about the bride. The person who gets the most questions right wins. Henpartygames.com recommends letting the bride judge whether a question is correct. Ask the bride the questions at least a day in advance so that you have enough time to prepare.
- Participate in a fun wedding dress competition by having the hen's night group create "wedding dresses" out of toilet paper. Divide the group into teams of three or four, and give them several rolls of toilet paper, some white garbage bags, silver tinsel and masking tape. The groups must then dress up one member in a "wedding dress" using the materials provided. Then, each dressed-up group member will show off her new outfit for the others. The bride, or the group as a whole, can decide who wins. Henpartygames.com recommends putting a 15-minute time limit on creating the dresses.
- Several days before the hen's night party, ask the groom questions about himself. Write down the questions and answers. Then, at the party, ask the bride the same questions about the groom. When she gets them right, she will get a prize, and when she gets them wrong, she will get a penalty. The group can decide on the prizes and penalties.
