How to Put .WMA Files on Your iPod
- 1). Click the "Start" button on your Windows PC's task bar, and select "All Programs," "Apple" and "iTunes." Click "Go" at the top of the screen on your Macintosh computer and click "Applications" from the drop-down menu. Double-click the iTunes icon to start the application.
- 2). Select "File" on the iTunes menu and select "Add File to Library" on your PC screen or "Add to Library" on the Macintosh screen. Locate the WMA file on your computer, and click the file once to highlight it.
- 3). Select the "Open" or "Add" button in the "Add to Library" window to import the WMA track to the Music section in your iTunes library.
- 4). Click "Edit" and "Preferences" on the iTunes menu on your PC, or click "iTunes" and "Preferences" at the top of the screen on your Macintosh computer.
- 5). Click the "Import Settings" button, and click the drop-down list next to Import Using. Select "MP3 Encoder" or "AAC Encoder" from the list, and click "OK" to save the import settings. Click "OK" on the Preferences screen to exit out of the window.
- 6). Right-click the recently imported track, and select "Create AAC (or MP3) Version" from the pop-up window to change the audio format.
