How to Use Laminate Sheets for Shower Walls

    • 1). Use a cloth and cleaning supplies to clean your shower walls. Laminate wall panels adhere to your walls with an adhesive, which sticks best to walls that are smooth and clean.

    • 2). Cut your laminate shower wall panels before you install them. Begin with the shower wall that houses your shower controls. Measure the location of the shower controls and mark where on your laminate panel they will be. Turn the bathroom laminate face side down and use a jig saw to cut out the notches for the shower controls. Also, cut the laminate shower wall so it's the appropriate height and width for that wall.

    • 3). Apply laminate wall adhesive generously to the back of your bathroom laminate. Make sure you use plenty of adhesive around the edges so the laminate doesn't peel away over time. Place the laminate wall panel up against the wall starting at the bottom. Slowly put the bathroom laminate piece in place, lining up the holes you cut for the shower controls.

    • 4). Remove the protective film on top of the laminate before you install each wall piece.

    • 5). Measure the height and the length of each additional wall in your shower and cut laminate shower walls to size. Use one panel for each wall. Repeat the installation process for each wall, removing the protective film on each wall before you continue.

    • 6). Cut your corner pieces to size. The corner pieces fit inside the corners to hide the seam created where two panels meet. Corner pieces should run from the top of the bathroom laminate all the way to the bottom.

    • 7). Run a bead of laminate wall adhesive on the back of your corner pieces and apply it to the corner on top of the laminate shower walls.
