How to Trap a Mouse in Your Home
- 1). Place mouse bait in the center of the mouse trap on the metal spike. You can use peanut butter, dried fruit or chocolate candy as mouse bait.
- 2). Press the u-shaped trap back so that it latches down against the wood trap base. You might need to slide the trap back and clasp it.
- 3). Place the trap close to the wall where you think the mouse is. Put it in dark areas, behind objects so that the mouse feels secure.
- 4). Check the traps every day to help make sure that you dispose a mouse as soon as you catch it. Throw the mouse away in a plastic bag. Seal the bag and throw it in your trashcan away from children and pets.
- 1). Peel the top of the glue trap off to expose the sticky surface.
- 2). Drop mouse bait in the glue trap.
- 3). Place the glue trap in a dark corner, against a wall or behind an object. Place them in areas where you think the mouse will show up.
- 4). Check the traps everyday to ensure that you dispose of the stuck mouse as soon as possible.
