March Cruises Sailing From San Diego

The Port of San Diego is home to several cruise lines throughout the year including Azamara, Carnival, Celebrity, Holland America and Royal Caribbean. A recipient of the 2010 WAVE Award for Best U.S. Homeport by "TravelAge West," the Port of San Diego is a popular departure port for Pacific cruises, visiting three destinations in March. - Holland America Line sails to Hawaii from San Diego in March for a 14-night Circle Hawaii Cruise aboard the Zaandam and a 30-night Circle Hawaii & South Pacific Cruise aboard the Rotterdam. The 14-night cruise visits the Big Island, Oahu, Kauai and Maui; has a total of eight nights at sea; and visits Ensenada, Mexico before returning to San Diego. In addition to visiting four Hawaiian islands, the 30-night cruise crosses both the International Dateline and the Equator twice, and visits Tahiti and other islands in the South Pacific.
- The Mexican Riviera is one of the most popular Pacific itineraries year round. In March, options include a 7-night cruise on the Holland America Oosterdam, and 7- and 9-night cruises on the Carnival Spirit. Carnival also offers a 5-night Baja Mexico cruise on the Spirit. Mexican Riviera cruises visit popular ports such as Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas. Carnival's Baja Mexico cruises spend two days at Cabo San Lucas and two days at sea.
- The Holland America Statendam sails to the Panama Canal on the 28-night Panama Canal Collector's Voyage round trip from San Diego in March. Guests may opt for the shorter 14-night segment of this cruise and disembark in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The 14-night cruise segment visits ports in Mexico, Central and South America, and sails through the Panama Canal before reaching Ft. Lauderdale. Guests remaining on the cruise continue on to Aruba, Costa Rica, and additional Mexican ports before returning to San Diego.
