How to Get Tissue Paper Off an Iron
- 1). Peel off as much of the tissue paper as you can. Don't do this until the iron has cooled down a bit or you could get burned.
- 2). Mix a little water with a Tbsp. of baking soda until you have a paste. Spread the paste over the iron where you have stuck-on tissue paper. Let it sit for two or three minutes.
- 3). Wet a clean cloth and start scrubbing the surface of the iron with it. The baking soda will dislodge the tissue paper without scratching the surface of the iron.
- 4). Wet another clean cloth and wipe down the iron to remove the baking soda.
- 5). Wet a cotton swab and use it to clean out any tissue paper that may be stuck in the steam vents.
