• 1). Find a nationally recognized CPR certification website. The American Red Cross offers a hybrid class, which allows you to take the class on line and demonstrate your skills on a mannequin within 30 days of the completion of your program to get your new CPR certificate. You also may easily renew your certificate on line, provided you have not let it lapse for more than six months, otherwise you will need a blended program, which provides hands-on training after going through an online course.
  
  
• 2). Register with your desired program. You will need to provide personal information including address, email and name. Pay for the program using a credit card.
  
  
• 3). Complete the online training and testing portion. You will need to read through provided information and PDF files in order to pass your certification test. Videos also may be provided to offer visual learning. Then take the online exam. If you are taking a hybrid class, you will need to pass the online exam and take a hands-on training class to demonstrate your skills before receiving your certification. If not, print out your new CPR certificate from your home computer.

• 1). Find a recognized CPR certification class to attend for one day to receive your new CPR card. The American Red Cross has various class locations around the country.
  
  
• 2). Sit through the informational lecture, read through provided materials and watch any videos shown by the instructor. Practice CPR on a mannequin after listening to the information to show the instructor you are skilled in providing CPR.
  
  
• 3). Receive your renewed certification once you pass your CPR exam in the classroom.
