Hi, I'm Amy Ott. And I'm here to make an overnight strata sandwiches with ham and cheese. So, we're going to start by making six double-decker sandwiches. We're going to add a mixture of mayo and Dijon mustard onto each slice of our bread. And we're going to layer on our cheese, then we're going to add our slices of ham. Then we're going to stack our sandwiches and then, we place them, we quarter them. And then, we place them in a greased nine by 13 glass baking dish. Next we're going to make the custard. We have four cups of milk, and I'm also using an egg substitute. This recipe calls for eight whole eggs. So, for an egg substitute, is a quarter cup equals one whole egg. So I have two cups of egg substitute. We mix these together, then we add in our seasoning. And then, we're going to add in some hot sauce, a little salt and we mix this altogether and we pour the custard mix over the sandwiches in the glass baking dish. And we bake in a preheated oven, 350 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour depending on your oven. But you do want to let this soak, you can let it soak overnight or for at least 30 minutes. And if you want to keep it for the next day, and have it for dinner. Then assemble your sandwiches and leave the custard separate. And add the custard on right before you go to work in the morning, so it can soak all day. And you can make it when you get home. And this is how you make an overnight strata sandwiches with ham and cheese.
