    Stress

    • Stress is one of the leading causes of the ocular migraine, so learning new and different ways to relax might be a good idea.

    Menstruation

    • Menstruation, either during menstruation or right before, can also trigger an ocular migraine.

    Hunger

    • Making sure that you eat regular meals may help ward off an ocular migraine. Hunger is often a trigger to an ocular episode.

    Alcohol

    • Since alcohol can increase the frequency of ocular migraines, it might be a good idea to avoid drinking it.

    Caffeine

    • Try to avoid caffeine, especially highly sweetened coffee drinks. The caffeine in coffee causes severe ocular migraines.
