What is the MedCenter System?

The MedCenter System is a monthly medication storage unit that contains 31 individual daily pill boxes that allows the user to store a month's worth of medication at a time. Each day you take the pill box for that date (e.g.

pill box number 5 on the 5th of the month), and place in down in the spot marked Today's Pills. When you use the Talking Alarm, you can set up to 4 separate alarms that will sound when it is time to take your medication. With this alarm, it isn't a buzzer, or ringing, or chiming. A voice will tell you it's time to take your medication.

• This organizer emphasizes the Date (e.g. the 20th) instead of the day of the week (e.g. Tuesday)
• Load the entire month's medication into the (31) Daily Pill Boxes and place them into the Organizer with their Green ends up, showing they are full.
• Set up to 4 Daily Alarms to alert you when your medication is due.
• Loud & Extra Loud sound settings ensure the alarm is heard
• At the beginning of the day, take the correct Pill Box out of the stand and place it into the "Today's Pills" tray on the front of the Organizer Stand.
• A repeating friendly reminder notifies you of the time, the date and which daily dose to take. "Good morning! Please take your morning pills for the 10th."

• Press the red "Alarm Acknowledged" button to confirm compliance and the MedCenter Talking Alarm Clock tells you when the next daily dose is due.
• At the end of the day, return the Pill Box to the stand with the Red end up to show the day's pills have been taken.
• Press the green "Talk / Time" button at any time for an audible notification of the current time and date.
• Press the blue "Alarm Check" button at any time for an audible notification of the upcoming alarms.
• The clock also features an easy to operate, talking, Set procedure for all four alarms, the time and date.
• Large easy to read LCD with back light makes the clock easy to read, even in the dark.

Pros and Cons

Pros

• This medication (pill) storage system can organize medication for an entire month, not just for a week.
• It has an audible alarm that will tell you when it's time to take your medication (e.g. "Good morning! Please take your morning pills for the 10th.") This is good for those people who forget (or are afraid they will forget) to take their medication on time.
• The individual pill boxes are small enough so they can be taken with you are gone for the day at work, running errands, and so forth.
• The entire storage system is portable enough (and light enough at just under 3 pounds unfilled) to fill and take along with you on vacation.

Cons

The only con, which probably won't be a con for most people, is that it may be a little difficult for those persons with severe arthritis in their hands to open some of the pill boxes. I have extensive osteoarthritis in my hands which has left them weak as well as painful. While some of the pill boxes were a little more difficult to open than others, I was able to open them without much trouble. For the vast majority of people, even those with arthritis, the pill boxes won't prove a challenge.

Guide Review

The ability to organize your medication for an entire month at a time is great. The MedCenter System allows you to do that. Other pill storage systems are only for up to a week. The audible talking alarm is a really nice plus. It's not as annoying as some alarms that will only buzz or beep at you. The volume levels are Loud and Extra Loud. Even set on Loud, the Voice of the alarm can easily be heard in the next room. The individual pill boxes are small enough so that they can easily be taken along if you need to be away from home at the times when you need to take your medication. There are med reminder apps and general type reminder apps for your iPhone and Smartphone you can set for reminders to take your meds away from home.
