How to Fix a Ks.sys Error in XP
- 1). Click on the “Start” button from your desktop and then click on the “Run” button. Enter “winver” into the “Open” field.
- 2). Click on the “OK” button and a dialog box will appear showing you what service pack is currently installed on your computer.
- 3). Click on the “Start” button again and then click on the “Run” button. Enter “sysdm.cpl” into the “Open” field and then click on the “OK” button.
- 4). Click on the “Automatic Updates” tab and then select the “Automatic” option. Click on the “OK” button and Windows XP will start to automatically download the service pack that you need.
- 5). Click on the “Install” button from the dialog box that appears after the download has finished. Allow time for the installation process to complete and then restart your computer. The ks.sys error will be successfully fixed.
