How to Keep Deer From Eating Tulips
- 1). Use a fence. You can fence in your whole yard with a big fence, or you can try putting a small fence around your garden or cages around the plants.
- 2). Use deterrents. Many people swear by using human hair or the urine of meat-eating people. You can also buy predator urine and commercial products such as liquid fence.
- 3). Make your yard unappealing. Keep a dog in your yard, that is, if the dog won't eat your tulips too. Add things like wind chimes and motion-sensing lights. Deer are very skiddish. Some people say that planting marigolds or daffodils in with the tulips will keep the deer away.
