    • 1). Turn off the power to the existing cable box and any connected TV.

    • 2). Unscrew the current coaxial cable from the back of the cable box.

    • 3). Attach the end of the cable to one of the outputs on the coaxial splitter. The threaded jacks are labeled output on some splitters, while other models are printed with arrows facing outward from the jacks to show the signal direction.

    • 4). Connect another coaxial cable from the splitter's second output to the matching jack on the back of a second TV set.

    • 5). Attach one end of the remaining coaxial cable to the cable box and fasten the other end to the input on the splitter.
