How to Place a Word in InDesign

    • 1). Open InDesign and load an existing document or click "File," then "New" and create a new document.

    • 2). Click the "Text" tool icon in the Toolbar. Hold down the left mouse button and drag in the document to create a new text frame.

    • 3). Click inside the text frame to place the cursor. Adjust the font, style and size from the drop-down menus at the top of the screen. Type the word you want to place.

    • 4). Click the "Selection" tool and click the text frame to make it active. Click and hold the border of the frame and drag it a location on the page.
