How to Get a Username & Password for iPhone Apps
- 1). Launch iTunes and click on "App Store" in the top navigation bar. Select a free application to download; you can only begin the process of obtaining a username and password during an application download process.
- 2). Click "Create New Account" and click "Continue." Accept the iTunes Terms and Condtions and click "Continue." Type in your email address and create the password you want to use for iPhone apps. Create a security question with matching answer and enter a valid birth date. Click "Continue."
- 3). Select a payment option. If you plan on using your username and password to purchase apps, enter your credit card or PayPal information. If you do not want to link a credit card to the account because you want only free apps, select "None." Enter your full name and address. Click "Done" to send a verification email to the email address you entered. Click the link from the verification email to complete the process. You can now use your email address as the username and the password you created as the username and password for iPhone apps.
- 1). Launch the iPhone App Store and select a free application to download. Press "Free" to download the app. Press "Create New Account," accept the Terms and Conditions and select your country.
- 2). Type in your email address, security question and matching answer, password and birthday. Press "Next." Select "None" to continue without entering payment information or enter a credit card or PayPal account from which you want to pay for applications. Enter your billing address if you selected to add a credit card.
- 3). Press "Done" and look for the verification email. Follow the link in the email to log in and complete the activation of your account. Use your email address as the username and your password any time the iPhone prompts you to enter a username and password before downloading any apps.
