This Garmin heart monitor is for those of you who are finding it difficult to get along with your current heart rate monitor(s). For those of you who have not owned a Garmin heart rate monitor, you are missing out on tons of great features.

Through this review, I will be pointing out the features of two superb Garmin heart rate monitor models along with their bad reviews (if any). So here they are:

The Forerunner 305

There is no need for a personal trainer if you have this Garmin heart rate monitor model. Carefully designed for athletes and people who want more out of their training, the Garmin Forerunner 305 contains features that are out of this world!

Most people rate this as Garmin's best heart rate monitor yet and it is definitely not difficult to see why. Combining comfort along with its high-performance training features; here are just some of the many amazing features it possesses:

Courses Feature - talk about taking your training to the next level! This feature allows you to challenge yourself by storing the data from your previous workouts enabling you to access it at any time.

Customizable Data - the 3 main data screens on the Garmin 305 gives you up to 12 data fields that provide you with instant access to your workouts so that you can review and analyze the data.

That was just some of its "average" features but they are good enough to make your workouts more interesting. However, the only downside about this Garmin heart rate monitor is that it is too bulky! Although this hasn't happened to my 305, it has been reported by some people to give up just over a year after purchase.

The Garmin 405

If you are searching for a more effective way of getting fit or training for a marathon; the Garmin 405 could just be the heart rate monitor for you! This particular monitor was specifically made to make running a lot more fun and interesting.

Some brilliant features:

Convenient Data -once your miles are logged, Garmin's wireless technology automatically transfers data to your computer when your heart monitor is in range

Strong Satellite Signals - Garmin's high sensitivity GPS receiver provides improved tracking which helps you get a better view out of your runs.

On the other hand, the only downside I have come across is the fact that the computer sync doesn't work with my Mac
