How to Enjoy a Pool at Night
- 1). Check your chemicals the day before. Have your pool ready to go by checking the chemicals and adding anything you need to the pool’s water before you plan to use it at night. This way, you won’t have to worry that the water isn’t perfect.
- 2). Add lighting to your pool. Whether it’s an in-ground pool or an above-ground pool, you will need to have proper lighting when using it at night. Most in-ground pools come with required lighting but if you own an above-ground pool there are many choices when it comes to lighting up your pool. The least expensive route to go is with floating lights that can be found at most retail stores that sell pool supplies or ordered online. These are either solar powered or use batteries, and can brighten up your swimming pool considerably.
- 3). Make sure the pool is clean. No one wants to have to clean the pool before using it, especially at night when it’s harder to see. Have your pool clean and ready to use so that when you decide to use it at night, there’s nothing to do but enjoy it.
- 4). Be sure your deck or walkway is properly lighted. When exiting your pool, you do not want to have to worry about tripping over anything. Install deck lighting or lights around your walkway so that you will be able to see any obstacles when using your pool at night.
- 5). Keep your neighbors in mind. If you have neighbors who live close by, keep the noise level down when using your pool late at night. Know the noise ordinance times in your city and always be considerate of others when using your pool at night.
