How to Find Out About IPO's
- 1). Go to the Securities and Exchange Commission's website, www.sec.gov, and search for companies that soon will go public. You also can use the websites of online discount brokers such as Sharebuilder. Sharebuilder lists all upcoming IPO offers in the "Research" section.
- 2). Look at your company of interest very carefully. Reuters.com, CNBC.com and other financial websites can give you company profiles. Consider the debt, quarterly earnings and cash flow of companies you are considering investing in.
- 3). Talk to your broker. Ask whether the company in question is appropriate for your investment goals. Some IPOs pose more risk then others.
