3 Ways to Supercharge Your Gym Efforts

Many people spend far too much time in the gym or health club, yet see very few if any results.
It's not time that makes the difference, nor any silly sayings like "no pain no gain," but spending your time intelligently.
Here are the three things I found that will supercharge your efforts, or at least the results.
1) Push cardio hard.
Yes, cardio matters, even if you really only like weights.
You don't need to feel like you are going to die, but it should be hard to carry on a conversation.
It doesn't matter too much how long you spend doing cardio if the effort isn't hard enough.
Sure, it's better than nothing but wouldn't you rather work a little harder and much shorter yet have more results? 2) Skip the machines and go to free weights.
Free weights are so much more efficient, and you will see and feel the difference.
Machines only exercise one muscle at a time, and don't require the muscle tone needed for balance.
Machine are OK to supplement your free weights, but not as the main resistance workout.
They simply are not efficient! 3) You need days off, maybe even two or three days in a row, between free weight workouts.
Cardio you can do almost everyday if you please, but the muscles need time to recover from free weights.
Your muscles tone and grow when they rest after all! I've been working out in the gym for decades at this point, yet spend less time than ever and receive better results.
The three tips above are why.
